Credentialing and privileging
All medical staff in accredited private medical/surgical facilities in British Columbia must undergo an appointment process. Privilege requests are made through the medical director of the facility.
Appropriate procedures lists
The appropriate procedures list must be included with the application. It must be completed indicating only the procedures requested to be performed at the facility. The applicant must sign the list and review it with the medical director.
The NHMSFAP may require additional information if a procedure request is not listed below, or if the procedure or surgical service is not currently being performed at the facility. If this is the case, contact the NHMSFAP directly prior to submitting the application.
