Registrar’s message—important updates to College Bylaws will affect many registrants

All regulated professions have bylaws that define the purpose and authority of the organization responsible for governing that profession, and direct how that organization legally administers its affairs, including the composition of a board and the establishment of committees. The College Board and committees use Bylaws as legal tools to conduct their regulatory work, and ensure that College processes and practices are fair and just.

Canadian content at the College library

Canadian sources for high quality medical evidence are rare and welcome entities. Against a backdrop of voluminous American and European science, technology and medical publishing, a small number of Canadian authors and editors have consistently published clinical information resources relevant to the Canadian milieu. Some examples are RxTx and Clinical Handbook of Psychotropic Drugs Online.

The College Connector is sent to every current registrant of the College. Decisions of the College on matters of standards and guidelines are contained in this publication. The College therefore assumes that each registrant is aware of these matters. Questions or comments about this publication should be directed to communications@cpsbc.ca.
