Join a CPSBC committee under the HPOA
CPSBC is currently accepting expressions of interest from individuals interested in joining a committee under the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA). Committee appointments will be effective April 1, 2026, pending board approval.
British Columbians are invited to contribute their knowledge, skills and expertise by sitting as members of CPSBC committees. All CPSBC committees are comprised of registrant and public members. Committee members are integral to ensuring CPSBC delivers on its mandate to protect the public through effective regulation of the medical profession. They help maintain public confidence in CPSBC proceedings and ensure standards are being met.
CPSBC is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion. At this time we are actively seeking applicants from the following priority groups:
- Indigenous individuals, including First Nations, Inuit and Métis
- Individuals with lived experience as a member of a historically underrepresented community (e.g. racialized individuals, persons with disabilities, persons who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+)
CPSBC is currently seeking applications from both public and registrant members. The closing date for applications is January 19, 2026.
