Dr. Bonnie Henry has updated the order Regulated and Unregulated Health Professionals SARS-CoV-2 Immunization to allow physicians who have been retired from practice for more than three years and eligible international medical graduates to provide COVID-19 immunizations under supervision of a health authority during the declared pandemic.

The College is currently in the process of updating a practice standard that outlines the rules physicians and surgeons must follow when providing virtual medical care to patients in BC. To help guide the revisions to the practice standard, the College is interested in learning more about the public's experiences and expectations related to virtual medical care provided by physicians and surgeons. Whether or not you have received virtual medical care, we would like to hear from you!

Revised Practice Standard Published
The Injection of Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers and Venous Sclerotherapy practice standard has been revised to acknowledge that, following a registrant’s assessment of the patient, any nurse holding practising registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives may perform an injection given they have appropriate training.
