Physician directory error message

While using the physician directory, if you encounter an error message that says "An illegal choice has been detected," ensure that one practice type or All is selected under Practice Type and click Search again. If the issue persists, please contact a College services representative at 1-800-461-3008 ext. 4.

Response to allegations of racism in the ER

The College has been made aware of the horrific allegations of racism towards Indigenous people involving a “game” to guess the blood alcohol content of patients coming into the ER, and Mary Ellen Turpel-Lafond’s investigation into the matter, as reported by Minister Adrian Dix today. The allegations suggest conduct that is absolutely inexcusable for any health-care provider, especially in emergency rooms where people are most vulnerable and rely on medical professionals to care for them in their time of need.

Standing up for all people: why silence on racism is not an option

While systemic racism and discrimination seem very much like the “issue of the day,” people around the world, and here in our own communities, have confronted racism and other forms of discrimination for much of our history. The College recognizes the collective power of a unified stance against discrimination, and that it cannot stay silent on such an important issue. This is why we have spoken out against discrimination in all its forms, including the recent rise of anti-Asian discrimination in our province, and the systemic racism faced by Black, Indigenous, and people of colour.
