The College’s peer assessors are practising physicians, all of whom have participated in the Physician Practice Enhancement Program (PPEP). Each PPEP assessor attends a training workshop before being paired with an experienced colleague to conduct on-site training during an actual peer assessment office visit. Assessors may participate in more than one paired assessment prior to conducting independent assessments.
The program also encourages ongoing assessor development. An assessor conference is held annually to provide assessors the opportunity to share experiences, network and offer input into program development and improvements.
Registrants who are interested in becoming peer assessors are invited to contact the Physician Practice Enhancement Program for more information.
