Health profession corporations

Under the Health Professions and Occupations Act, CPSBC may issue a permit authorizing a corporation to operate a business providing health services through an eligible licensee.

What is a health profession corporation?

A health profession corporation is a corporation that provides health services through eligible licensees in accordance with the Health Professions and Occupations Act (HPOA) and CPSBC Bylaws.

Any corporation that operates as a business providing health services to the public through CPSBC licensees must hold a valid health profession corporation permit.

To obtain a health profession corporation permit, a licensee who intends to provide health services through a corporation must ensure that both the licensee and the corporation meet the requirements established under the HPOA, Regulations, and CPSBC Bylaws.
