How much does it cost to renew the licence?

The annual licence renewal fee for 2026 is C$1,925.

What happens if the licence isn't renewed before the deadline?

Late payments received on or after March 1 are subject to a $500 penalty.

Late payments received on or after April 1 are subject to a $800 penalty. The licence will be suspended on April 1 and will not be reinstated unless the following are met:

  • fees are paid in full
  • penalty is paid in full
  • annual licence renewal form is completed in full

If a licence is not renewed by May 1, it will expire and the former licensee will have to apply for reinstatement and pay all applicable application fees.

Where can I find the official receipt?

Receipts can be found in the CPBSC website portal two (2) to five (5) business days after completion of the entire licence renewal process.
