Mobile apps
College registrants have access to mobile apps that include point-of-care support, examination question banks, and clinical procedures videos.
Note: Any third-party links are provided for general reference only and no endorsement of their content by the College is implied.
Access – by McGraw Hill
Access – by McGraw Hill (formerly AccessMedicine) includes four titles:
- Quick Medical Dx & Rx
- Fitzpatrick's Color Atlas of Clinical Dermatology
- Diagnosaurus
- Pocket Guide to Diagnostic Tests
- Go to AccessMedicine website (College login required).
- Click College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC on the upper right.
- Click Sign in. A drop down of options appear.
- Click on Create a Free MyAccess Profile.
- Follow the instructions to create your personal account.
- Download Access – by McGraw Hill app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your MyAccess personal account.
You must sign in every 90 days to keep your MyAccess account active. If your account expires, you will see instructions on how to reactivate it when you access the app.
AudioDigest
AudioDigest contains over 5000 audio lectures covering a wide variety of medical topics.
- Go to AudioDigest website (College login required).
- Fill out the form to set up your account.
- Complete the account registration by logging in through the link provided in the automated confirmation email.
- Download the AudioDigest app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your AudioDigest account.
BMJ Best Practice
Best Practice is a patient-focused decision support tool. Evidence-based content based on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, controlled trials, guidelines and expert opinion.
- Go to Best Practice website (College login required).
- Click Create account on the top right corner.
- Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
- Download BMJ Best Practice app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your Best Practice personal account.
CanadaQBank
CanadaQBank online question banks for MCCQE exam preparation.
- Go to CanadaQBank website (College login required).
- Click Sign up on the top right corner.
- Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
Contact the library for specific downloading and initializing instructions.
ClinicalKey
ClinicalKey provides access to textbooks, practice guidelines, patient education and multimedia resources, anytime, anywhere.
- Go to ClinicalKey website (College login required).
- Click Register on the top right corner.
- Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
- Contact the library to set up remote access.
- Download ClinicalKey app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your ClinicalKey personal account.
- Ignore the Openathens login and Institution login step.
CPS
Drug information from the CPS, a Canadian drug source, and evidence-based therapeutic information for common conditions.
DynaMed
DynaMed is a clinical reference tool for use at point-of-care, with clinically organized summaries.
- Go to Dynamed website (College login required).
- Click Sign in on the top right corner.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
- Download Dynamed app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your Dynamed personal account.
Read by QxMD
Read by QxMD: Locates up-to-date research and reviews from PubMed (Medline) and links to full-text articles.
- Open the Read by QxMD mobile app.
- Click Get started.
- Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
- Under Account Settings, select Institutional Access.
- Select College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Select Automatic login.
Need articles for which Read by QxMD has no access?
Click Request Copy in the mobile app to email the article request to us. Make sure to provide your full name so library staff can identify your request.
STAT!Ref
STAT!Ref includes access to:
- AAFP Conditions A-Z
- EBMcalc
- Decker: Pain Management
- Go to STAT!Ref website (College login required).
- Click Profile on the top banner.
- Click Register.
- Alternatively, log in if your have already registered.
- Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
- Download STAT!Ref mobile app.
- Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your STAT!Ref personal account.
You must re-authenticate your My STAT!Ref temporary login every 12 months.
