College registrants have access to mobile apps that include point-of-care support, examination question banks, and clinical procedures videos.

Access – by McGraw Hill

Videos, podcasts, images, infographics, and textbooks.

  1. Go to AccessMedicine website (College login required).
  2. Click College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC on the upper right.
  3. Click Sign in. A drop down of options appear.
  4. Click on Create a Free MyAccess Profile.
  5. Follow the instructions to create your personal account.

BMJ Best Practice

Best Practice is a patient-focused decision support tool. Evidence-based content based on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, controlled trials, guidelines and expert opinion.

  1. Go to Best Practice website (College login required).
  2. Click Create account on the top right corner.
    • Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
  3. Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.

  2. Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your Best Practice personal account.

CanadaQBank

CanadaQBank online question banks for MCCQE exam preparation.

  1. Go to CanadaQBank website (College login required).
  2. Click Sign up on the top right corner.
    • Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
  3. Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.

ClinicalKey

ClinicalKey provides access to textbooks, practice guidelines, patient education and multimedia resources, anytime, anywhere.

  1. Go to the ClinicalKey website (College login required).
  2. Click Register on the top right corner.
    • Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
  3. Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
  4. Contact the library for a registration ID and passcode to set up remote access.

Contact the library

  1. Download ClinicalKey app.
  2. Open the ClinicalKey app.
  3. Two product options appear. Select ClinicalKey. Click Next.
  4. A drop down of editions appear. Select ClinicalKey. Click Get started.
  5. Click Access via your institution.
  6. Sign into the app with the credentials used to set up your ClinicalKey personal account.
  7. Click Settings. Select User Account.
  8. Under "Do you have a registration ID," click Activate here.
  9. Enter the registration ID and passcode (contact the library to retrieve remote access information)
  10. Once activated, "College of Physician and Surgeons of British Columbia" appears next to "Organization" under Settings.

Read by QxMD: Locates up-to-date research and reviews from PubMed (Medline) and links to full-text articles.

  1. Open the Read by QxMD mobile app.
  2. Click Get started.
    • Alternatively, log in if you have previously registered.
  3. Follow the instructions to set up your personal account.
  4. Under Account Settings, select Institutional Access.
  5. Select College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
  6. Select Automatic login.
