PEP guidelines and resources
Feedback gathered through PEP's various assessments over the years has been key in developing additional guidelines and resources to support licensees in community-based settings. Many of these guidelines focus on clinical care, patient and staff safety, and inform both office and peer assessments. They are grounded by provincial and national standards.
PEP assessment guidelines are not the same as CPSBC practice standards. CPSBC practice standards reflect the minimum standard of professional behaviour and ethical conduct expected of all licensees on a specific topic or issue.
The assessment guidelines apply to all licensees practising in community-based offices, including:
- private offices/solo practices
- walk-in clinics
- urgent-care clinics
- multi-licensee clinics
